Where Is the Eastgate Neighborhood?

Eastgate is a residential neighborhood on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, tucked between East Grand Rapids to the north and Kentwood to the south and east. Its spine is Burton Street SE, the east-west road that runs from Division Avenue out to the East Beltline. Our office sits right on that spine at 2003 Burton St SE, in the stretch between Kalamazoo Avenue and Breton Road.

If you know the area, you know the landmarks. Breton Village shopping center is a few blocks east at Burton and Breton. Ottawa Hills High School is just up the road. Calvin University is farther east where Burton meets the East Beltline, and Ken-O-Sha Park and the Plaster Creek Trail are a short drive south. The practice has been on this same block since 1961, which is why so many of our patients simply call us "the dentist on Burton."

Because Burton St is a crosstown route, the office is one of the easiest places on the southeast side to reach without touching a highway. It's also why we're the closest family dentist for a lot of people in ZIP codes 49506, 49507, 49508, 49546, and 49512.

Built for Southeast Side Schedules

A lot of our patients live within a couple of miles of the office and work downtown, in Kentwood, or out along 28th Street. So we keep hours that fit around those commutes: Tuesday evenings until 8pm, Thursdays until 6pm, and alternating Saturday mornings. It's common for a parent to drop a child off for a cleaning on the way to work, or for a family to book back-to-back visits on a Saturday and be done before lunch.

Everything happens under one roof. Dr. Brandon Jankowski and Dr. Jonathan Kahn handle checkups and cleanings, kids' visits, crowns, root canals, and same-day emergency care at this one location, so you're not being sent across town for the next step.
